Tribute to Jane Lecours - Spring 2021

CCIManitoba Chapter was very saddened to learn of the passing of Jane Lecours on February 7, 2021.

For over 25 years, Jane was a leader in Manitoba’s condominium industry. Jane was a proud, committed and well respected member of CCI. Jane participated on the Board of Directors of CCI, Manitoba Chapter for many years and served as the President of the Board of Directors from 2011-2013 and as the Manitoba Chapter National Representative from 2011-2020. Over the years, Jane also served on a number of CCI committees, both provincially and nationally.

Throughout her career in property management, Jane’s knowledge, experience and expertise was legendary. Jane was also the consummate volunteer, going above and beyond and giving many hours of her time promoting the condominium community. Jane’s devotion both personally and professionally led to many lifelong friends which she valued immensely.

Jane was a master at “voluntelling” and a great motivator. It was hard to say no to Jane and to not get caught up in her enthusiasm for a particular CCI promotion or event.

Jane was feisty and at the same time, very kind and generous. She would often show up at a meeting with some of her delicious home baking for all to share.

Jane’s ability to party was well known in the CCI community from coast to coast. She could party until the wee hours and would still be the first to show up for the early morning meetings.

Jane loved her friends and family, travelling with the “love of her life, Bob”, cruising and all things nautical, limoncello, orange tabby cats and CCI, which was so much a part of her life.

Jane was an incredible person whose contributions to the condominium community will always be remembered and are so very much appreciated.

The CCI, Manitoba Chapter has established a Jane Lecours Volunteer Award in her memory and in honour of her legacy.

The award will be presented annually at the CCI, Manitoba Chapter Annual General Meeting.

CCI, Manitoba Chapter extends our sincere condolences to Jane’s family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
